The Jamestown Foundation is eternally grateful for Roman's immense contributions to our organization, and in particular to the creation of this blog. We offer our deepest condolences to his friends and family. He will be greatly missed.

  1. I’m so sorry for this great loss. I would also like to express my deep grievance with this mournful incident and along with others offer my condolences to his family and friends.

I always enjoyed reading his articles on Eurasia Daily Monitor issues and also in this weblog. I personally will be missing his articles a lot. I hope that the gaps by his loss will be filled.

  2. Roman will be missed by thousands of readers, since he was one the most prominent political scientists in Eurasian affairs. It will be very difficult to replace him.
